The SML Podcast – Celebrating Halloween With Some Survival Horror Discussions
By Joe Cammisa
[audio:http://joecam.net/SML/SML-e090.mp3]Monday night is here and it's time for The SML Podcast Episode 90: Spooky Title Here, here on Bleeding Cool!
We are only 10 episodes away from triple digits now, and to celebrate Halloween we have the obligatory Halloween themed podcast episode!
This week we are joined by Taras "Pappy" Butrej and Ken Carlson to talk about our favorite horror/Halloween-ish games! We start out all talking together, but when Kris loses his internet connection, we're forced to talk to them separately, which doesn't matter in the long run, but I'm filling space here…
Games discussed include Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Rule of Rose, Outlast, and many more, including… Super Mario Bros 2? Yeah. Long story to that one. We finish by talking about what we've been playing recently including Borderlands, Sunset Overdrive, How to Survive, Costume Quest 2, Lords of the Fallen, and more!
Check out the mp3 of the show here or check out the YouTube version!
If that doesn't work for you, you can check us out on iTunes and subscribe to us and get all of the episodes a few days early!
Music this week is a chunk of spooky songs because Halloween. Four tracks from show favorites Ailsean, Mustin, and Dale North, and MAYBE there's a little something extra at the end from the amazing Jake 'virt' Kaufman.
Ailsean & Chad Seiter – Trans-Transylvanian Orchestra (Castlevania 2)
Mustin – Haunted Hell (Super Mario 64)
Dale North – Bittersweet (Silent Horror OST)
Ailsean – Promise (Silent Hill 2)
Thanks for checking us out and we'll see you next Monday with a new episode!
