Wednesday Runaround – "I Don't Want To Have This Conversation"
MillarWatch: "I know that this will surprise many of you, especially since I often rant here about needlessly "dark" comic books, but I just read all four issues of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's NEMESIS (Icon) and I enjoyed it very much. Rather than messing with a pre-existing character, they've created a new concept that's incredibly dark but extremely clever: a really nasty supervillain operating in a world without superheroes. The concept is fresh, the writing is excellent, the storytelling is too and I dug it a lot!" – Scott Shaw
PoacherTurnGamekeeperWatch: Matt Brady and Troy Brownfield write Buck Rogers for Dynamite.
OriginWatch: Model turns comic book artist;
"I was known to be the perfect medium size and for my patience and temperament," he said. "My attitude was 'whatever they needed', and it was always professional."
BeingCanadianWatch: io9 compares the BBC 3's Being Human to Syfy's version.
This is The Bleeding Cool ComicChron Robot speaking. I come for your women. But for now I merely collate comic-related bits and pieces online. One day I will rule. Until that day, read on.
Batman series creator tones down the violence
For nearly 20 years David Finch has had blood on his hands: whether it be from deranged villains stabbing, choking or gutting their victims or a hero executing the same thing against said villains — Finch has drawn it all. But the release of Finch's latest creation, Batman: The Dark Knight, by industry giant DC Comics, won't be the typical, flagrantly violent comic book series.

The Power of Comics in 'Rabbit Hole' – The Moviefone Blog
Comics are no different than novels, film, or music; the storytelling limitations are only set by the talents of their respective creators — not the medium itself. I don't think I've ever seen a movie that's understood this as well as John Cameron Mitchell's 'Rabbit Hole' does.

Marvel Month-to-Month Sales: November 2010 | The Beat
[Brian Hibbs in comments] Man, those are some ugly-ass numbers. Marvel would be really wise to set a hard bright line at 20k, and both cancel anything below that line, and not solicit new books that don't seem likely to surpass it. They're choking THEMSELVES to death, and this is scary to watch.
SRBissette.com – A Chat With Dave Sim Part 1
The quote ("I don't want to have this conversation") was compliments of Warren Ellis a few years back (April/May 2003, in fact), FYI. It succinctly summarized all I have had to deal with since the mid-1990s, and especially since 1999.
Robert Kirkman reflects on a bloody good year of 'The Walking Dead' – USATODAY.com
"The Rick that exists in the comic book now that I am writing is very much different from the Rick Grimes that appears in the television show. It's really like doing two completely separate things because so much time has passed and the characters have changed so much and, you know, a lot of the characters have died."
Spurgeon Interviews CBR News Editor Kiel Phegley
Regardless of what the sales number remain or what your opinion on the quality of the final product may be on either end, I think that one way in which DC has "lost" to Marvel over the past few years has been in recruiting and retaining new talent. Everyone in this business knows who C.B. Cebulski is. Can you name anyone close to being in a similar position at DC? I can't.
