Next week sees the release of the conclusion, the fifth and final issue of Scott Hoffman's post-apocalyptic comic series Wag, being digitally published by Comixology Originals on Amazon and Kindle and with subscription services Comixology Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited and Prime.

Wag is the second comic series from newcomer Scott Hoffman (aka Babydaddy of Scissor Sisters with Juan Bobillo. Hoffman took the leap into comics last year with the launch of Nostalgia, with Danijel Zezelj. Here's a preview of Wag #5.

    Wag hears voices in his head. It could be some kind of implant from the days before everything collapsed, or it could be the fact that his pills ran out. After a crisis, he and an unexpected new companion head east to find out more.

    Wag and Lin, now in Owl Village, find Guido, a healer, who decides to have a look inside Wag's head. Surprised that this may be something real (thanks in part to Wag's mysterious, inanimate bird), Guido decides to accompany them further, towards the District and the source of the Rot.

    Wag, Lin and Guido, now with their newfound friend Sas, continue their journey east. Wag. able to control his old toy hum-a-bird, recedes deeper into his past and the nagging voices as they encounter more strange birds and calls from the possible source of the voice itself.

    Now in the District, the four companions rummage through old buildings, and memories, to figure out how to bring an end to Wag's troubles. Finding few answers from the old world, they face danger, and a glimmer of hope, as they continue onwards.
