The Surviving Original X-Men Reunited with Professor X in Astonishing X-Men Annual

Matthew Rosenberg is taking over Astonishing X-Men in July, but he's already getting an Astonishing X-Men Annual to write in August, with artist Travel Foreman (in place of regular series artist Greg Land). Can anyone stop Rosenberg's steady takeover of the entire X-Men line? If so, they'll have their work cut out for them, as the Annual will feature a reunion between Charles Xavier… er, sort of… and his original students… kinda.

Archangel, The Beast, Iceman, and Jean Grey — the grown-up versions — will meet X, the reincarnated mind of Professor Xavier that took over the body of Fantomex in previous issues of Astonishing X-Men. Sadly, Cyclops will not be present, as he is currently dead and Rosenberg, high on the ego of writing four X-Books in August (that's more than three!), belligerently refuses to bring him back to life.

Galling. Doesn't he know the customer is always right?!

In any case, check out the solicit for Astonishing X-Men Annual #1, as well as Rosenberg's three other August X-books.
