Undiscovered Country #2 Sells Out! Oh and … Dawn Of X, Plus Miles Morales? – The Back Order List 12/11/2019

Every week your Local Comic Book shop gets in the weekly assortment of comics, trades, posters, action figures, and other goodies from Diamond. Now some of these goodies sell our fast from your LCBS, so Tuesday and Wednesday LCBS retailers get on the phone (more often the computer) and let Diamond know they need more. Or sometimes they go to unpack those Diamond boxes and find items missing, or too damaged to sell (it does happen), retailers have to let Diamond know. However, the phrase no retailer likes to hear when they go to report those shortages, damages, or reorders is: "Sorry that item is on Back Order", which means there are no more copies to send out from the Diamond warehouse.

So the second week of December brings us more of the double shipping Dawn of X, and it sure seems to be helping Marvel's bottom line as each title has sold out.

Following sellouts for Fallen Angels #1 and #2 … Fallen Angels #3 goes to Back Order.

New Mutants #3

And X-Force #2 … the first of the three to be long gone.

There were no easy to order variants for any of these so they were all quick to go to Back Order as retailers quickly tried to get more copies to fill customer demand. We'll see if this lasts as retailers start ordering more copies until the numbers even out.

One other late entry to the Back Order list was the first appearance of Miles Morales' baby sister in Miles Morales Spider-Man #13.

Though this does still have 2020 variant that (maybe) can still be ordered.

And from Image Undiscovered Country #2 main cover goes to Back Order fast. Customers seem to love the new series so expect #3 to likely go to Back Order too and maybe orders to stabilize by issue #4 or #5.

Though the FOC variant for #2 was still available…

For this week, nothing else was on Back Order by Wednesday. No Annihilation titles…

No 2099…

No Superman #18 … (despite the reveal)

No TMNT #100 … (with so many retailer exclusive covers…)

Marvel also overshipped The Amazing Mary Jane #3

And Morbius #2

So plenty copies of those and Symbiote Spider-Man Alien Reality #1, with so many many variant covers.

So if you are your LCBS and see any of these "back order titles" grab them if you want them, because Diamond won't be sending anymore 1^st prints no matter how much your local retailer asks.
