2K Games Will Shut Down Evolve's Dedicated Servers This Fall
Some sad news for those of you who have still been enjoying Evolve from 2K Games, as the company announced they would start to shut down their dedicated servers to the game with everything being completely shut down by September. The company posted an official announcement about the decision, along with a timeline of when everything would take place.
Evolve's dedicated servers will be shutting down on September 3, 2018. This means several game features will no longer be available, such as Hunt (Ranked), leaderboards, and the in-game store. Stage 2 will no longer be available on PC, and players will have plenty of opportunity to spend their in-game and virtual currency before the store is removed. Peer-to-peer multiplayer will still be available in Legacy Evolve on PC and console, and we'd like to stress that all players will retain all purchased DLC content, such as Hunters, Monsters, and skins.
As of right now, Peer-to-peer multiplayer is still active, along with all the in-game purchases you can make. However, if you don't spend all your money by September 3rd, it will be useless and lost forever. Stage 2 on the PC version will also be unavailable after this date, meaning you only have a few months to play it.
