Mega Cat Studios and Playground Productions announced there's a new free demo for their upcoming modern version of Backyard Baseball. The team has dropped the demo on Steam, giving you an early look at how this modernized take on the classic 90s baseball game will play. Including training, the Home Run Challenge, and the ability to play as classic characters such as Pablo Sanchez, Keisha Phillips, or Kenny Kawaguchi. The demo is available now as the game arrives July 9, 2026, for PC and consoles.

Reimagined for modern platforms while honoring the spirit of the original series, the new title brings back fan-favorite characters, including backyard legend Pablo Sanchez, alongside updated gameplay, vibrant visuals, and expanded modes for modern players.
