2 New 'Solo' TV Spots Arrive, Teasing More Criminal Elements

With Disney posed to take over the box office in April and possibly in May (what, it could happen!) with Solo: A Star Wars Story, the galactic hype train is picking up speed.  Ok maybe star Alden Ehrenreich isn't your top pick to play young Han Solo, but as more interviews with the actor come to light, I'm definitely more curious to see his portrayal.

2 new tv spots arrived this weekend. They tease more of things we'll be seeing in the film like Corellia, what is possibly the famed Kessel Run, Lando meeting Han for the first time, and Rio Durant (Jon Favreau) speaking for the first time.

Here's the new tv spot, called simply, "Han":

And the other new teaser called "Criminal Life", which you can see in this supercut of all the tv spots so far:

Joonas Suotamo (The Last Jedi) returns as Chewbacca, Donald Glover (Atlanta) is playing smooth-talkin-cape-wearin' Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) is playing Qi'Ra (pronounced Kira, far as we can tell), Woody Harrelson (True Detective) is playing Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) is voicing new droid L3-37, Thandie Newton (Westworld) is playing Val, and Paul Bettany (The Avengers) is playing possible bad guy Dryden Vos.

Ron Howard jumped into the director's chair to finish Solo: A Star Wars Story after the previous directorial team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller were firedLawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time) wrote the script, meaning this really could be a pleasant surprise in terms of plot.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25th 2018.
