Aquaman: Jason Momoa Shows Off the Costume Plus a New Image
The month of December is packed full of movies with several studios set to earn big bucks for their productions. Out of all the studios though it is Warner Bros. that is likely the most nervous. Aquaman comes out and the reception to the DC Extended Universe has been lukewarm at best unless your movie starts with "wonder" and ends with "woman." Justice League, while it has its fans, was not a critical smash hit and seemed to fade into the background when it came out last year. Now, nearly a year later, the next entry in this cinematic universe is coming out and Warner Bros. could really use a hit. Star Jason Momoa took to twitter today to wish everyone a Happy Halloween and offered a new look at the green and yellow costume.
Over at USA Today Patrick Wilson got the chance to talk the villainous Ocean Master. He described the experience of riding a tylosaur as "basically riding on a mechanical bull" and described his character a little bit.
Aquaman is "really easygoing and the life of the party and dead set on not being a leader at the beginning," Wilson says. "I just want to act as a foil to that: Somebody who probably takes themselves a little too seriously and has a very large shell around them and rules with an iron fist."
A new image of Wilson as Ocean Master was shared.
Summary: Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.
Aquaman is directed by James Wan, stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, and will hit theaters on December 21st.
