Superman & Lois: Elizabeth Tulloch Celebrates BDay with Night Shoots
Happy birthday weekend, Elizabeth Tulloch! The Superman & Lois star showed how she prepped for exterior night shoots on her special day.
Okay, look. We're just going to put it out there. For all of the things that Elizabeth Tulloch does to promote The CW's Tulloch, Tyler Hoechlin, Michael Bishop, Alex Garfin, and Michael Cudlitz-starring Superman & Lois, maybe she gets her birthday off? Just sayin'. While we know it was yesterday, we still want to wish our Lois Lane a very happy birthday weekend and offer an example of just how much of a team player she is when it comes to getting the work done. Because we know that if it was our birthday, an 8 pm call for an outdoor night shoot that requires three layers of clothing to stay warm – underneath whatever outfit/costume she needs to wear for that scene – wouldn't be at the top of our lists on how to spend a birthday night.
"Some shots from our first week back to work on #SupermanAndLois. #Grimm and #AMillionLittleThings fans, swipe for a surprise," Tulloch wrote in her Instagram post that included a look back at some images and a video recapping how the first week of filming went. But that wasn't all because Tulloch also shared a look at the script cover for the season's third episode – but not before giving some Grimm & A Million Little Things fans a heads-up that a surprise was waiting for for them. That's because S04E03: "Always My Hero" is directed by David Giuntoli (and written by Brent Fletcher & Todd Helbing) – a name that fans of both shows should be very familiar with:
"While we're sad to say goodbye to 'Superman & Lois' at the end of Season Four, we're grateful for the time we've had with our amazing cast, crew, VFX teams, editors, musical geniuses, and writers. Since the day this show was first discussed, it was about family. And that's what was created—on and off screen," shared showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher. "We'd like to thank our partners at Berlanti Productions, DC, WB, and The CW for their endless support and enthusiasm during this journey…and give a very special thank you to all the fans for tuning in. We're thrilled about what we have in store in our final season, and can't wait for everyone to watch as Superman, Lois, and all our heroes face off against the biggest threat in the show's history—Lex Luthor."
Heading into the final season, the series faces an abbreviated episode count (10 episodes), reductions to the production's budget & writers' room, and departures of series regulars Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wolé Parks, Tayler Buck & Sofia Hasmik (though they could possibly appear as recurring or guest stars).
