"This Is Us" Season 4 "So Long, Marianne": Family Drama + Holidays + Midseason Finale? Uh-oh… [PREVIEW]

Series creator Dan Fogelman promised viewers a season of NBC's This Is Us unlike any they've seen before, and Bleeding Cool's resident show expert Tiffany Tchobanian has been your tour guide through a fourth season universe that's been blown wide open with new faces and possibilities.

The story continues this week with "So Long, Marianne", which finds the family gathering to share their first Thanksgiving together at Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) Philly digs. But if there's one thing murder mysteries and family dramas have taught us over the years? When people gather together – especially around an event or holiday – some serious revelations are going down and things will never… be… the… same… again!

Think we're being dramatic? Just look at how NBC is selling this holiday-themed chapter:

Everyone has a family. And every family has a story. "This Is Us" chronicles the Pearson family across the decades: from Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) as young parents in the 1980s to their 37-year-old kids Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) searching for love and fulfillment in the present day.

This grounded, life-affirming dramedy reveals how the tiniest events in our lives impact who we become, and how the connections we share with each other can transcend time, distance and even death. From the writer and directors of "Crazy, Stupid, Love." comes a smart, modern show that will welcome you into a family you feel you've known for years. Chris Sullivan and Susan Kelechi Watson also star.
