Will You All Be Upstanding For Doctor Mark MillarMark Millar is to be presented with an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters by Glasgow Caledonian University next Thursday. Millar, who lives in the Glasgow area, dropped out of university to take up writing professionally, but of late has returned as a guest speaker.

Mark Millar's Twitter account is @MrMarkMillar. Will he be changing it to @DrMarkMillar anytime soon? He tweets;

Spent 2 days writing acceptance speech for a doctorate next week. Totally chuffed, but have never written this much for free ever :)

Last week, his ex-writing partner Grant Morrison was made an MBE, as 2000AD publisher Jason Kingsley was made an OBE. A couple of years ago, Bryan Talbot was awarded a doctorate by Sunderland University. Looks like it's time for everyone in comics to start getting slightly longer names…
