Wizard World New York Goodie Bag Pays For Your Admission – Neal Adams Reports On Walking Dead Market Forces At Work

walking dead 1

Tickets for Wizard World Comic Con this weekend cost $50 for Sunday. VIP tickets cost $80 respectively.

Every attendee gets a Neal Adams-covered Walking Dead #1. Every VIP attendee gets a black-and-white variant covered version as well.

Coloured versions have already sold on eBay for up to $60.

As I write, one of the B&W versions is about to sell on eBay for over $100. and copies have sold for $200.

Neal Adams has told Bleeding Cool what he's been seeing, as a result of market forces;

It's Sunday morning. All day yesterday people went into Pier 36 Basketball city, on the west side of the tip of Manhattan to the Wizard con and receiving their Goodie-bag. Within one minute of entering, one of several people approach them and offer to buy their 'free' "Walking Dead Comic reprint with the Neal Adams (Yours truly) free comic for from 5 to 30 dollars. Many sell. The Buyers get me to sign or simply put the books up on E-Bay to sell from 50 to several hundred dollars.

If folks in the New York area want to see a Comic Book Phenomenon, and make a PROFIT for their ticket purchase, hell, get down to Pier 36 and get one of cheaper those V.I.P. tickets, or just a regular ticket and someone will offer to buy it.
Bargain for the admission price, and if you don't get it, heh, TURN it on E-Bay.
