DC Comics Create The DC Workshop – Internal Program For New Writers

At the DC Meet The Publishers panel at New York Comic Con, Jim Lee and Dan DiDio were asked a question asking if they had any plans to recruit and develop new writers, as well as inviting familiar names back to the company.

Jim and Dan took the opportunity to announce DC Workshop, an internal program at DC Comics working with existing self published writers, and new writers who may have had short stories published in the Spectacular anthology books.

Such writers are working with editors on not-to-be published scripts, with a process more involved than with the actual published work.

Look forward to seeing the results of that within the year…
