Skottie Young Vs. Redbubble
Redbubble is an online marketplace that creates customized products using original user-submitted art.
Most of the time.
Some of the time.
Most of the controversy over Redbubble has revolved around whether they will or they won't sell Hitler imagery. But there's another controversy over just how original the artwork is.
Whether that's Banksy (which I have just passed to a Banksy representative I know – literally this was the first redbubble link I found) or someone closer to home…
I try to stay positive on here but I HATE @Redbubble so much it hurts my stomach. So much of m work allowed to be stolen and sold there.

@skottieyoung @redbubble Ditto. Guy stole some CHEW art with my NAME on it, and Redbubble still asked me to prove it's my work.

@Rob_guillory @redbubble RB hides behind that they take things down if you go thru the process. It would take me 6 months to report them all

@skottieyoung @redbubble Tweet-shaming them for an entire day worked for me.

@skottieyoung @redbubble I know…I complained and they listened at least but it's so hard to stop. More keeps popping up.

@SilvaniArt @skottieyoung @redbubble I just pester them and then I hunt down the person and destroy them on every social network
— Hal Hefner (@halhefner) May 29, 2014
@CharlesSoule oh yeah. dozens and dozens of images from dozens of people.
— skottie young (@skottieyoung) May 29, 2014
@skottieyoung A class-action suit should be filed by everyone who's been damaged. Split the legal fees between those dozens – done.
— Charles Soule (@CharlesSoule) May 29, 2014
@skottieyoung While this isn't strict legal advice (yo, disclaimer), it's something I would be looking into.
— Charles Soule (@CharlesSoule) May 29, 2014
@skottieyoung Maybe we can discuss off-Twitter another time. I can run you through the logistics – not super tough to do.

Could this be a bubble that's about to pop?
