Geoff Johns Has All Star Batgirl #1 On His Desktop

All_Star_Batgirl_2DC Entertainment's CCO Geoff Johns took part in an AMA Reddit last night. Well, he does have a new comic book out.

The usual questions and answers flipped back and forth. To the question of the status of All Star Batgirl, announced at the Toronto Comic Book Expo in 2006 as coming from him and JG Jones, he replied.

At one point J.G. Jones started working on Final Crisis instead so the project was shelved. I actually took some of it and my take on Harvey Bullock and used it in Batman: Earth-One.
But I do have a script for ALL STAR BATGIRL #1 on my computer…

Which got the great response, from Glitterpop.

What are you!? AN ORANGE LANTERN? I need dis.

As for the future of the Superman book he promised,

My run on Superman with John Romita Jr. is going to use all the New 52 stuff as a base. Love Grant's stuff. Greg is doing a great job. So although we'll be taking it in a slightly different direction, it'll be building on what's before. John and I really want to bring both the all-new and the classic together — what's important to Superman (and it's mostly what he stands for and what he does) and also throw things and characters at him he's never faced. You will see The Daily Planet, Lois, Jimmy and the gang more prominently. There will be more Clark interacting with his cast. But also a lot of new villains and heroes. So no event right now, just trying to do the best Superman book I can possibly do with JR.

Yeah, we'll be expanding Superman's lore — look for some new characters to open doorways, literally, to new worlds.

MINE!

And do make sure you read about the time Johns totalled Ricard Donner's car, and much of the Warner Bros lot in the process….

Picture from All Star Batman And Robin The Boy Wonder that would have had nothing to do with All Star Batgirl…
