Yesterday, both writer Greg Rucka and artist Liam Sharp announced their departure from DC's Wonder Woman ongoing comic, and now, a day later, DC has announced the replacement. DC Super Hero Girls writer Shea Fontana will take over the book for five issues beginning in issue #26, which hits stores in July.

"Having worked on DC Super Hero Girls for the last few years, I have a great sense of Wondy, a teenage Wonder Woman in a high school setting, and it's an honor and an adrenaline rush to be writing her now 'all grown up,'" said Fontana in an BY GAWD EXCLUSIVE [swoon] report from THR. "Many of her core characteristics continue to remain routed in peace, justice and equality, but as an adult she's seen a lot more war and tragedy, and is dealing with her world from a wiser, more experienced point of view."

The first two issues of the bi-weekly title will feature art by Mirka Andolfo, and both will hit stores in July. There should be more details to come on the future of the creative team post-Summer soon, especially with the Wonder Woman movie hitting theaters in June.
