Five Hot Comics – And One To Watch – August 2017

Here are the rules of Five Hot Comics – And One To Watch. Five recently published comic books that you may already have in your stack but haven't realised you could pay for your weekly comics by flipping it on eBay, and only comics that were relatively easy for retailers to order. No 1:25 covers here, let alone 1:1000. No CGI, no exclusive to one store. And then a sixth comic currently selling for cover price or less, that has the potentially to join the other five… here's the run down for August 2017. How many do you already have in your recent purchases?

Totally Awesome Hulk #22 by Greg Pak and Robert Gill, cover price $3.99, selling from $20 to $25 on eBay. Much is expected of the new Hulk/Wolverine crossover character Weapon H.

Supergirl #12 (Artgerm variant), cover price $3.99, selling from $8 to $15 on eBay. And #13 may be going the same way. Plenty of retailers are upping their subsequent orders…

Mister Miracle #1 by Tom King and Mitch Gerads, cover price $3.99, selling from $13 to $20 on eBay. Caught many folk by surprise this, one, aside from those following their work on Sheriff Of Babylon, and Tom King on Vision and Batman.

Redneck #1 by Donny Cates and Lisandro Estherren, cover price $3.99, selling for $10 on eBay. The God Country effect continues its spread.

Dark Nights: Metal #1 Midnight Variant, cover price $3.99, selling for $10-$15 on eBay. Plenty of stores opened at midnight to sell Dark Nights: Metal #1 early – and all their other DC Comics for that week too. The Midnight variant could be ordered by an

And for one currently at, or under, cover price…

Supergirl #8 (New 52). The one that saw George Perez use Alisa Norris as a model. For those who collect comics that make the news, such as X-Men Gold #1, this might be a curious oddity.
