The Flash Season 4: Upcoming Episode Title Has '80s Reference
Episode titles can be tricky. Sometimes they give everything away like the fifth episode of Arrow this season, Deathstroke Returns. And sometimes they can send you into a very different direction like with the sixth episode of Legends of Tomorrow, called Helen Hunt. That last one had nothing to do with the former Mad About You actress. A newly released title for the twelfth episode of this season's The Flash might be something like the Legends episode, but it feels like it might be more straightforward. SpoilerTV says the title is Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash.
The title is obviously a reference in the 1989 film, Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, which starred Rick Moranis as a scientist who accidentally shrinks his kids and their two friends. The possible ideas that this title conjures up is pretty hilarious. The Arrowverse is a place where Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) has come up with a device that can shrink himself and his suit, but now he's come up with a shrink ray (he doesn't like that name). And while Ray has guested on The Flash once or twice, he's most of the time off on the Waverider with the rest of the Legends. Does this mean the Legends are coming to the Flash besides in the crossover? Does Ray give Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) a copy of his shrink ray when he sees them next week? Does Cisco or Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) see it in action and decide to make one of their own. Shrinking evil metas would help on the costs to prison them.
And I can easily see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer), and Cisco being shrunk, but for some reason the idea of Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) getting shrunk down sounds like it could be the most fun.
It is most likely that we won't see the twelfth episode until after the Flash returns from its winter break on January 16th. The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
