A Very, Very Final Issue Of JSA (SPOILERS)
***SPOILERS ***SPOILERS ***SPOILERS ***SPOILERS ***SPOILERS ***SPOILERS ***
In the final issue of Justice Society Of America before the relaunch, we see the first Flash, Jay Garrick making a promise to Jesse Quick that, well, he's just not going to be able to keep.
And as there is no initial version of JSA appearing in the first few months of the DC Relaunch, (though we are expecting something from James Robinson and Nicola Scott in the months to come) there has to be a way to hammer home the finality of things.

There has been some curiosity how the likes of Alan Scott, the first Green Lantern, will fit into the new DCU continuity, especially in the light of the Green Lantern movie franchise ignoring. And even though the Green Lantern continuity is getting changed less than the other DC titles, this JSA plot may indicate one potential deletion from Green Lantern history.
Because in the final issue of JSA, this happens.
The death of Alan Scott, the first, more mystical, Green Lantern. And a realisation that in the New DC 52, he may never have even existed. You may start your letter writing campaign… now. JSA #54 is out today
