Albert Uderzo's Paintings And Drawings Burn To The Ground
On Wednesday morning, a fire broke out in home of the 90 year old comic book artist Albert Uderzo and co-creator of Asterix, in Tartre-Gaudran, France.
The outbuilding in question was completely destroyed by the flames and appears to be the result of a short circuit.
This hangar recently housed a fighter plane: a Mirage 2000 belonging to Uderzo, before he donated it a few months ago to an air base in Burgundy.
Since then, it had been turned into a working shed and Uderzo had decorated the place with his own paintings and drawings.
They have all been destroyed in the fire…
