Amazing Spider-Man #26 by Joe Kelly, Francesco Manna and Ed McGuinness is out from Marvel Comics today, the seventh chapter in their Amazing Spider-Man/Venom/Carnage crossover, Death Spiral. Which just saw super-serial killer Torment kill Paul Rabin, newly revealed Uzumakli manga fan Carnage leave his host, Eddie Brock, and join with Torment, and continue Torment's family serial killing spree….

And Dylan Brock is having quite the hard time dealing with the death of his recent foster parent Paul Rabin…

Not that Mary Jane Watson and Venom are doing much better…

And she does the Venom voice on Spider-Man. Seems quite effective, you know, like when Batman set off a flash flare.

Yeah, when your ex and your other ex are the same person shouting at you, one of their exes has just died, and their other ex's ex is dying, I get that.

And Aunt May is trying to set Mary Jane up with Flash… but also part of Torment's web. And as for Eddie Brock?

Indeed, Mary Jane Watson's history as the victim of an abusive father has been brought up a number of times by readers, given Venom's own history, Eddie Brock's history and Paul Rabin's behaviour towards Dylan Brock, stating it seems to have been forgotten. Maybe not…

But as Peter Parker's family are targeted by Torment and Carnage (Tornage? Carment?), there's someone else in the spiral before you get to Aunt May…

Spider-Man's first cousin? Oh hang on, where are my Amazing Spider-Man Annuals, this is ringing a bell…

We knew that Peter Parker had a sister, Theresa Parker, both children of Richard and May Parker. Ben Parker was Richard Parker's brother, who raised Peter Parker with his wife, May Parker, nee Reilly. But cousins? Specifically, first cousins? This is new… Because Sam Reilly, Aunt May's nephew, wouldn't count, would he? Is this Sam? Someone else?

Unless this is what Torment is going by now. Treatiung Aunt May as a relative of Peter Parker, married to a Parker and raising him? Also… where is Theresa now? And what about the rest of May's family?

So… did Aunt May and Ben Parker have a kid, Peter Parker's cousin, and never tell him? And never invited him to anything ever? Is this what The Talk is going to be about? Amazing Spider-Man #26 by Joe Kelly, Francesco Manna and Ed McGuinness is published by Marvel Comics today.
