Ellis And Gallaher's 'High Moon' Returns With Definitive Edition From Papercutz
Super Genius, a somewhat arrogantly named imprint of Papercutz, is collecting the first three volumes of David Gallaher and Steve Ellis's Harvey Award winning comic High Moon as a Definitive Edition, just, as a press release explains, in time for Halloween. Originally published by DC's short-lived Zuda imprint, the interior pages will be remastered and the book will feature a new cover by Ellis.
In HIGH MOON, former Pinkerton agent and current bounty-hunter Matthew Macgregor investigates a series of strange happenings in a small Texas town. Drought has brought famine and hardship to Blest. The summer heat pushes the temperature to unbearable heights during the day. The nights are even worse– for the streets are haunted by strange, unnatural creatures. And even as Macgregor works to uncover the truth about the creatures, he struggles to keep his own supernatural nature a secret.
Hardcover and paperback editions are being published simultaneously, priced at $24.99 and $14.99 respectively, and hitting comic book stores on October 17th (and book stores on October 24th). And if you already own the Zuda print editions, you can stop by booth R7 in Artist Alley at New York Comic Con this weekend and get Ellis and Gallaher to sign them so you can sell them on eBay and buy the new version.
Second and third volumes will be coming out in 2018.
