In the upcoming comic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #20 from Boom! Studios out in October, it is revealed that before the classic Power Rangers team, Zordon had an earlier, original team of Power Rangers from the sixties.

Everything you knew was wrong!

Writer Kyle Higgins (Nightwing: The New Order) and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo (Mighty Morphin Powers Rangers: Pink) explore an eye-opening new piece of Power Rangers history that will rock the very foundations of the current team to its core. Well before Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Billy, and Trini became Power Rangers, Zordon recruited Rangers in 1969 to battle a foe who was downright… psycho.

"Any opportunity to add to the Power Ranger mythos is always an incredible honor and one of the fundamental reasons I love writing this book," explained Higgins. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #20 features a main cover by Jamal Campbell (Prowler), along with an interconnecting variant cover by Steve Morris (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), an Action Figure variant cover by Amazon Game Studios VFX artist Joshua McDonald, and a special variant cover by Klaus and Saban's Go Go Power Rangers superstar artist Dan Mora.
