Exclusive – Army Of Darkness, Dresden Files, Xena And Six Million Dollar Man For August

Dynamite has sent over another batch of solicitations and covers for books shipping in August of this year. This batch features film and television tie-ins. Nancy Collins continues taking Ash Williams down the Furious Road, Van Jensen is rebuilding Steve Austin in Fall of Man, Genevieve Valentine brings us more of Xena and Gabriel and Jim Butcher gives us another tale of Harry Dresden in Wild Card.

Some of you may be wondering why Dresden is in a batch of film and television tie-ins. Well, for those who don't remember, there was a short-run television series on SyFy called The Dresden Files. And Harry Dresden was played by Paul Blackthorne, who has gone on to play Quentin Lance on Arrow. The whole season is available now on DVD and is a pretty interesting and slight different take on the character. The DVD includes the pilot episode where they tried to directly adapt the first Dresden novel, Storm Front. That didn't work as well as the may have hoped. So the series is tweaked quite a bit and turned out to be fun to watch.
