In This Preview of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #12, a Spider-Man Will Die!
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #12 is in stores from Marvel Comics next week, by Australia's Favorite Son Tom Taylor and superstar artist Pere Perez, and we've got a preview below, in which Spider-Man… dies?!
Well, it should come as no surprise, since the solicit has been advertising the death of Spider-Man for months now. And this issue was originally set to be the series finale before an enthusiastic response from readers extended its lifespan. But would Marvel really kill Spider-Man? Well, there's that whole Sony thing…
In any case, the issue begins like many Spider-Man stories, with the wall-crawler swinging into action to save people from a burning boat fire.
But Spidey ignores his own Peter Tingle at his peril…
It turns out this was all a trap. And Spider-Man is blasted with a mysterious energy weapon. And then…
Into the drink.
So is that it? The end of Spider-Man? We suspect there may be more to it than that, but you'll have to pick up Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #12 on Wednesday to find out.
