Comics And Cards Closes Two Stores in Georgia – But Plan to Reopen in 2019
Comics and Cards Inc, formerly JJ's Comics & Cards, of Albany, Georgia and Tifton, Georgia, and familiar to Bleeding Cool readers, have announced they are closing their two stores.
Last week, the Tifton store posted,
Due to unforseen circumstances we were not able to receive this weeks comics, as of yet. We will keep you updated and apprised to let you know when we will get them in. Thanks again, and we're sorry for this inconvenience.
And the Albany store posted,
We apologize because of unforseen circumstances we will not have the New Release Comic Books tomorrow. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes. We will keep you updated as soon as possible
Two days ago, Jeremy Norton of the Albany store posted,
*****ANNOUNCEMENT*****
We are sorry to announce that after 31 great years of business Comics and Cards will be closing. We are having a liquidation sale Everything Must Go.
All product is 40% off.
It is with heavy hearts that this decision has been made. We want to say a very special thank you to all of our patrons who have supported us over the years.
We hope to see everyone for the sale.
Andrew from the Tifton store added,
On a personal note, Thank you all. You have made these years at the shop a blast, You made a big kid have fun at work.
Andrew then posted,
To answer most of the questions about what future plans are, (aside from colonization of the moon) hereee we go! The final plan as of now is to close my store the final day of November. Change, Condense and clean out a lot of our unneeded back product (ie antiques and the like) Then reopen both stores later on next year and make sure they are better than ever! There is a lot of work ahead but the cities of Tifton and Albany have always been there for us, and we want everyone to know this isn't a forever goodbye, but for us to succeed in the future we have to say see you later for now. I love and thank you all so much. ~Andrew
Good luck Andrew, let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
