Marvel Comes To Britain For MCM London Comic Con In October
British comic cons are often the runt of the litter when it comes to big comic book companies setting up shop on their showfloor for the weekend. You may get a representative sent over to gladhand the crowd at a panel or two if you are lucky, but that's about it.
The upcoming MCM London Comic Con for October 27th to the 29th at the London ExCel is promising a little more. As Marvel are setting up shop smack bang in the middle of the show. Indeed, they have an entire area of Britain's most well-attended comic convention (matching San Diego Comic-Con for the last show) full of artwork, toys, collectibles and fan experiences. You never know. Maybe even a comic book or two.
Other show attractions including VidfestUK – the European event for fans of online video and web series, a roster of eSports tournaments; leading videogame publishers and anime distributors; an MCM Fringe Festival and hundreds of retailers and exhibitors… but there's also a very interesting rumour regarding the Comics Village area that I am currently pursuing that may change the face of comic cons in Britain…
