Marvel Comics/Shonen Jump Manga Collaboration Includes Halloween Avengers

Yesterday, Bleeding Cool broke the news that Marvel Comics and Shonen Jump would be collaborating on a new series of manga published in Japan, with a first chapter being written and drawn by Yu-Gi-Oh! creator Kazuki Takahashi.

And, it seems the final chapter. Because we now have more details. These will be a series of seven manga short stories, being published biweekly on the Shonen Jump+ website, starting tomorrow and running until November 27th.

Here are the creator line-ups, with artwork for each.

Shonen Jump

Secret Reverse – Part I by Kazuki Takahashi on September 4th.

Shonen Jump

Gag Reel by Hachi Mizuno of Akuten Wars for September 18th.

Shonen Jump

Interview with Heroes by Ken Ogino of Lady Justice for October 2nd.

Shonen Jump

Samurai by Sanshirō Kasama and Hikaru Uesugi of Tsugihagi Quest for October 16th.

Shonen Jump

Halloween Avengers by Mato of Darling in the Franxx, on October 30th.

Shonen Jump

Antman+ by Toyotaka Haneda, of Vocchi-men, on November 13th.

Secret Reverse – Part II by Kazuki Takahashi on November 27th.

The place of Halloween in Japanese culture may be in intriguing one in this case. While Halloween has become a bigger thing in Japan over the last ten years, there is no trick or treating… it's all about the costume parties, child and adult alike. It may be interesting to see how Halloween Avengers will mix and match US and Japanese culture over such an important date.
