New Deviations From IDW In March – John McCrea Turns Judge Dredd Into A Werewolf

Coming this March from IDW is a rather different kind of Judge Dredd story; a 'What If?' if you like, and something of a new venture for Dredd as we are asked to imagine, what if Dredd had turned full-on werewolf and stayed that way?

Based on the classic Dredd strip, Cry of the Werewolf, (2000 AD progs #322 to #328, 1983) from John Wagner, Alan Grant, Steve Dillon and Tom Frame where Mega City One is invaded by carnivorous canine killers, John McCrea (who also writes the series) has kindly allowed us to share with you all the art process through which his cover for issue 1 came to be. Pencils, acrylics and then a little bit of Photoshop tinkering with a great looking cover to launch this issue.

Look out for a follow up interview with John on this interesting looking series which will run as part of IDW's 5 week Deviation event next Spring and, more importantly for me, as, "a celebration of the work of Steve (Dillon), this is one of my favourite stories he drew", as John puts it.
