Not Even God Can Keep The DC Universe Straight
The Spectre comes to Gotham in Six Pack & Dog Welder #2 today.
We've already looked at John Constantine's reaction to the New 52 and DC Rebirth. Now we get the word from the Godly representative The Spectre, coming to Earth to hunt for the missing demon Baytor, currently ensconced working behind a bar and saying nothing but "I am Baytor!"
Naturally everyone, including Batman, pulls the Spartacus on him. So he has to go to the big man upstairs.
And it doesn't go well for them. God's like that, apparently. Can't identify an errant demon, but is happy for The Spectre to bring a goodly chunk of Gotham downstairs.
Though it can't be much worse than what they already have.
Of course, continuity geeks might want to point out that in the new reality, The Spectre isn't actually a servant of God, but a manifestation of Jim Corrigan himself.
But then you'd also have to point out that John Constantine isn't actually wearing a space helmet with a Hellblazer gun and flying on Silver Surfer's board.
Even though he clearly should be…
