Batgirl Really Seems To Think Dick Grayson Is Dead. We're Not So Sure.
Todat's Batgirl #30, written by Margueritte Bennett rather than series writer Gail Simone, appears to be set after Forever Evil. When… something bad seems to have happened to Nightwing, Dick Grayson. "He's gone, isn't he?"
And all that past tense, it doesn't just seem like she means he gone to Chicago, does it?
"It hurts to think of him" – is this an issue that Gail chose not to write? And what does it mean for Forever Evil #7, delayed now until the end of May?
Because, yes, it does seem to indicate that, as Forever Evil #6 seemed to suggest, that Dick Grayson, Nightwing, is dead, killed by Lex Luthor.
We don't believe it for a second – and never have.
Especially with DC's Subscription department saying that Nightwing will be relaunched and renamed Grayson…
Nah, nice try, DC Comics. April Fool's was last week.
Batgirl #30 is published today. Comics courtesy of Orbital Comics, London.
