C2E2 Beats Volcanic Ash Cloud (UPDATE)The big news in the UK this morning was that an erupting volcano in Iceland has sent a cloud of volcanic ash across the ocean, into British airspace and grounding every flight for an indeterminate period, a real fear of the fine dust entering the engines and causing irrepairable damage mid-flight.

And while Britain, for a short period at least, becomes an island race again, what of British guests attending C2E2? David Lloyd, Aaron Johnson, Peter Mayhew, Ray Park, there are a few.

But I understand, direct from Reed organiser Lance Fensterman, that everyone managed to beat the volcano in across the ocean.

Getting back again… well that might be another matter. Enjoy Chicago everyone!

UPDATE: Oops, David Lloyd may not make it. All flights are still grounded today.
