As we mentioned before the London French Institute in South Kensington is having a bit of a comics thing happening in October from the 7th to the 9th. They even throw in a couple of film premieres as well.

Friday

6.30pm China Miéville on his favourite comic creators and his own planned comics. (£10, English)

8pm UK Premiere: La Planète Encore by Mobius & Niquet (8 min long, free, French, repeating on Sunday)

Saturday

11.30am The Twelve Tasks Of Asterix (£5, French)

2-3pm Dave Gibbons and Jean-Claude Mézières talk Watchmen and Valérian (£10, English) Signing 3-4.30pm.

2-5pm Masterclass With Oscar Zarate Part One – creating a four page comic on the theme of London Stories (£50, English) Signing 5.30-6.30pm

3.30-4.15pm Benoît Sokal (Canardo, Kraa) and Bastien Vivès (Polina, A Taste of Chlorine) – drawing a new comic together. (£8, English) signing 4.30-5.50pm

4.45-5.30pm André Juillard & Yves Sente in converation with Eric Simon on the making of Blake And Mortimer.(£6, English)

6-7pm Audrey Niffenegger on Aubrey Beardsley (£10, English) Signing 7-8.30pm

8.40pm Barbarella and party to follow (£15, English, party only £12)

10pm Cosmic Party – a fancy dress/cosplay party (£12)

Sunday

2-3pm Bryan Talbot talks Grandville (£8, English) Signing 3-4.30pm

2-5pm Masterclass with Oscar Zarate Part Two

3.30-4.30pm Paul Gravett in conversation with Warren and Gary Pleece on The Five Geniuses Who Transformed Comics Forever. (£8, English) Signing 4.30-5.30pm
5-6pm La Planète Encore Mobius & Niquet (8 min long, free, French, on a loop from 5pm to 6pm)
5-6pm Catel & Bocquet – drink abisinthe and watch Catel drawing a life model to the music of Kiki de Montparnase. Ah the French. (£15, English) Signing 6-7pm
6.30pm UK Premiere: Largo Winch 2: The Burman Conspiracy (£8, French, English subtitles)
