How Marvel Is Going To Push The Launch Of X-Men Gold And X-Men Blue By The Numbers

Marvel is going to have a "party" promotion for the launch of X-Men: Gold #1. It doesn't mean that a shop actually has to have a party. But they can, and some will. And there will be plenty of promotional products and price point to help maximise the amount of issues stores order. How many they sell, is a different matter.

Retailers have to order X-Men: Gold #1 by 250% of their orders of IVX #2. Those who do can then:

Order as many of the X-Men Gold #1 Lim Party Variant on top.

Each participating retailer will also receive one free copy of X-Men Gold #1 Lim Party Sketch Variant.

They can also order the X-Men Gold #1 Davis Andre Leroy Hip-Hop Variant and X-Men Gold #1 Skottie Young Variant on top

And they can order up to two copies of the X-Men Gold #1 TBD Artist Premiere Variant. They will get 100 Party Invite postcards and 20 lithographs. Party party party!

Retailers can also order 1:10 on the X-Men Gold #1 Leonard Kirk Corner Box Variant.

Retailers can also order 1:25 on the X-Men Gold #1 David Marquez Variant

Retailers can also order 1:50 on the X-Men Gold #1 Bill Martin Variant

And retailers can order the 1:1000 X-Men Gold #1 Variant

Then there's the big one – if retailers can exceed 275% of their orders for IVX #2, they'll get around 30% off the cost of their order. 250% will get them around 20% off. 200% will get them around 10% off.

And for X-Men: Blue it's a similar story. No specific party but…

Retailers have to order X-Men: Blue #1 by 200% of their orders of IVX #2, to order the X-Men Blue #1 Hip-Hop Variant and the X-Men Blue #1 Skottie Young Variant

Retailers can also order 1:10 on the X-Men Blue #1 Leonard Kirk Corner Box Variant.

Retailers can also order 1:10 on the X-Men Blue #1 Jack Kirby Variant.

Retailers can also order 1:25 on the X-Men Blue #1 David Marquez Variant

Retailers can also order 1:50 on the X-Men Blue #1 Bill Martin Variant

And retailers can order the 1:1000 X-Men Blue #1 Variant

And they are also launching these themed comic book shortboxes…

So what else? Well, Marvel will be giving free bundles of the Resurrxion Free Previews Spotlight to everyone, previewing X-Men Gold, Royals, X-Men Blue, and more.
