In The Spirit Of New Beginnings, Bleeding Cool Offers A New Home To Axel-In-Charge Column

Hi folks. My name is Jude Terror, and you may be familiar with me from a little website known as The Out—aaaaaggghhhhh! What the hell is that?!

Oh, okay, so that video just starts playing five seconds after you open an article on Bleeding Cool. Well, that's neat. We're going to have to do something about that, aren't we? Let's see…

There, that's better. Hi folks. I'm Jude Terror, your new Bleeding Cool writer, your Rich Johnston 2.0, a better, smarter, funnier, pip pippier, slightly less typo-prone, and clearly more handsome version than the original, if I do say so myself. And I do.

It's a new day (yes it is) for me, and in the spirit of fresh starts, I thought I would extend the figurative olive branch to Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso. You may not have noticed, but good ol' Axel hasn't appeared in one of his weekly CBR fluff interviews since July 15, 2016.  CBR has kept mum about it, and even their forum posters seem to have given up.

What happened? Was there a falling out? Did Axel run out of things to be excited about? Did he visit CBR after their site redesign, assume they had converted to a car insurance sales website, and never return? Did Marvel hire the Civil War 2 creative team to start writing it, and it's just indefinitely delayed?

I don't have the answers to these questions, but I know how to get them. On behalf of Bleeding Cool, I'm formally inviting Axel Alonso to join me here every Friday for an uncensored Q&A about all things Marvel!

Think about it, Axel. It's a chance to address your critics on hard-hitting issues that you probably always wanted to tackle, but Albert Ching just wouldn't stop asking you about which variant cover retailers will be most excited to order this week. There would be none of that here. I promise.

Sure, Rich Johnston has said some mean things about Marvel in the past, but Jude Terror is your friend. To prove it, I've gone back and retroactively added typos to all of Rich's old articles. Go and check – they're all there! That should prove my loyalty.

So let's make this happen. Axel-in-Charge on Bleeding Cool, 2017. Make ours Marvel. You heard it here first.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
