Wednesday Runaround – Baal Ki Khaal!
TrafficWatch: We enjoyed the fact that someone at Marvel was just looking at the Kirby lawsuit story on Bleeding Cool at exactly the same time as someone from law firm Weissmann Wolff Bergman — the Beverly Hills law firm that DC let go from the Siegel/Shuster case. All sorts of people enjoy Bleeding Cool! And a special hello to all the Disney people working in Chicago! You love us, you really love us!
BrooklynWatch: Lynda Barry, about to have her work collected in Complete volumes by Drawn & Quarterly will be at the Brooklyn Comics And Graphic Novel Festival this weekend, as well as Charles Burns, Bill Griffiths, Evan Dorkin, Paul Pope, Adrian Tomine, Irwin Hasen and more.

TintinWatch: Tintin has now been translated into Hindi.
Key changes when being translated in to hindi are, Tintins catchphrase "Great Snakes" has been trenslated into "Baal ki khaal"; Captain Archibald Haddock says "Karod kasmasate kaale kacchuve" instead of "billions of bilious blue blistering barnacles"; Snowy the dog is named Natkhat and detectives Thomson and Thompson have been renamed Santu and Bantu.
Do watch for India Ink, the new semi-regular column covering Indian comics affairs.
CourtWatch: A New Orleans man who had sex with a thirteen year old girl has been convicted. And certain details are revealed;
"He lives in a room full of action figures and superhero posters," Daly said. "He's probably not exactly a Don Juan with ladies his age."
Galbraith didn't have a driver's license and collected Marvel Comics action figures, which he displayed in his room along with movie posters from "Sin City" and "The Dark Knight," prosecutors said.
This is The Bleeding Cool ComicChron Robot speaking. I come for your women. But for now I merely collate comic-related bits and pieces online. One day I will rule. Until that day, read on.
In the mind of comic-book author Benjamin Marra, New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd is basically a snarky Clark Kent. He's given the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist the superhero treatment with his bizarre new comic, The Incredibly Fantastic Adventures of Maureen Dowd. In it, his redheaded heroine breaks national stories, battles bad guys, and parades around in racy underwear, all while maintaining journalistic integrity.
Discovery Channel expanding into comic books
The parent company of Discovery Channel and Animal Planet hopes to make a big splash when it releases its first comic book, "Top 10 Deadliest Sharks." The book — dubbed a nonfiction graphic novel — comes out Dec. 1 and is being published by Philadelphia's Zenescope Entertainment under the Silver Dragon Books imprint.
Anchor Bay makes it official re: "WALKING DEAD"
Anchor Bay will issue WALKING DEAD on both DVD and Blu-ray, but a street date and specs have not been made available as of yet. Company president Bill Clark says, however, "We have some unique plans for the release and can't wait to put them into motion. We're lucky to have such talented and committed partners at the network." AMC's Marci Wiseman comments, "Anchor Bay is the leading distributor for the horror genre, and we could not have a better partner as we expand into this lucrative new market. THE WALKING DEAD is an epic, edge-of-your-seat drama and we are excited to extend its life into the retail marketplace."
One of Jon's most notable credits was the lettering for Amazing Spider-Man #1 in 1963 and he lettered several other stories for Stan Lee during this period, some of which were credited to "Johnny Dee."
The Rant – What a Marvel MMO Needs to Be – MMORPG.com
In all seriousness, DCUO seems to be setting the bar very high for a superhero MMO. It has set the bar high for my kind of MMO period. City of Heroes and Champions Online really aren't any match for it. That is why Marvel's own game needs to, as the kids say, "come correct".
