The Diamond Truck That Spilled Its Load Across The Road Will Hit 100 Comic Stores Next Week
It was reported on the news as a matter of curiosity, with copies of Deadpool trade paperbacks littering the freeway.
But the traffic accident that Bleeding Cool reporyed earlier today saw a Diamond Comic Distributors truck torn open, with comic boxes falling and ripping out into traffic.
We updated the article with a letter from Diamond, reproduced below.
But at ComicsPRO, retailers were told that around a hundred comic stores will have their next deliveries affected. Some will get a replacement order to follow shortly, but some titles for which there are no replacement copies available, will be allocated.
Basically, there was a lot more than Deadpool in that truck.
If your retailer is affected, do give them a hug, They may need it.
Dear Diamond Customer:
As you may be aware, a truck carrying Diamond product from the Plattsburgh Distribution Center to the Olive Branch Distribution Center was involved in a serious accident that will delay some customer shipments of product on sale February 24. The driver was unhurt.
Affected customers have been notified of the delay via a separate email.
If you have not received that email, your shipment should arrive as scheduled.
If you have additional questions regarding this advisory, please contact your Diamond Retailer Services Representative. Thank you.
