Forbidden Planet – one of the biggest comic book store chains, has a fair few comic-related activities coming up across the country.

Saturday March 11th.

John Higgins In Forbidden Planet Liverpool for the launch of his new book Beyond Watchmen & Judge Dredd that ties in with an exhibition of his work at Liverpool university.

I used to shop at Forbidden Planet in Newcastle on Grainger Street when I was a student. It has recently reopened eight times bigger than before, as the largest Forbidden Planet outside of London and, like Orbital Comics in London, now with a gallery space, currently displaying classic Brian Bolland 2000AD artwork.

Launching Titan Comics' Ian Livingstone's Freeway Fighter: The Comic at Forbidden Planet London. With Ian Livingstone, Jim Burns, Jonathan Green, Andi Ewington, Simon Coleby and Orlando Arocena, the first leg of a four-part road trip and the release of a special Forbidden Planet variant cover by Jim Burns and two other variants to look out for are the Diamond special, also by Jim Burns –
