Watch Me Pull A Comic Out Of My Hat – Rocky & Bullwinkle Return
IDW Publishing is bringing back Moose and Squirrel. It's been a long eight months since we first found out that the publisher had teamed up with Bullwinkle Studios and DreamWorks Animation to bring back the Jay Ward classic The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show. Now we get to find out the details and the creative team.
The first issue will be released in March of 2014 written by Groo The Wanderer's Mark Evanier. The art for the series will be done by Roger Langridge of The Muppet Show with variant covers provided by Stephanie Buscema of My Little Pony and Powerpuff Girls.
"I grew up, to the extent I grew up, on these characters," says Evanier, "I watched ROCKY AND HIS FRIENDS™ the first day it was on and I got a lot of my sense of humor, such as it is, from those cartoons. (I was going to say, 'I was watching it before I was old enough to get all the jokes, but I'm still catching on to what some of them mean.')"
Each issue of the series will be self-contained. Like the cartoon series, the comic will also feature a Dudley Do-Right back up story.
