When Luke Cage Reads His Slash Fic With Iron Fist…

There is plenty of Luke Cage and Danni Rand slashfic online. Shipping the two of them has been some people's favourite hobby.

Even as some people have difficulty letting go.

Danny stared at her for a second, his eyes clear and blue and sad. He was silent. Oh, now he'd learned how to shut up. But Jessica was surprisingly patient, and presently Danny spoke. His voice was cracked and there was the faintest echoes of a sob behind the words, but those words was clear. "I don't love Luke anymore, Jessica. I mean I do, but — as a friend."

Well now, they are at it in Marvel Comics themselves. Or at least, portraying said slashfic. As discovered by Luke Cage in today's Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat.

Some people have accused modern day superhero writers as doing little more than official fanfic (to be fair, that's been true for decades) but with the Ms Marvel featuring Ms Marvel's own fanfics regarding her fellow superheroes, at least it's not ashamed to say so any more.

Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat #7 is published today from Marvel Comics.
