'Pac-Man Maker' Filed For Trademark By Bandai Namco
Prepare to lose your minds, Super Mario Maker fans. Bandai Namco filed a trademark for the name "Pac-Man Maker" yesterday, adding commentary to the filing under video games and "amusement park services." Why would they do that? So they could also make the game for arcade use, of course!
While there isn't any more information about this out there, a name like that is pretty easy to decipher as the company may be making their own version of Super Mario Maker with their own licensed original character that everyone knows and loves. The bigger question is that beyond the obvious titles like the original and Ms. Pac-Man, what other versions of the game would be included in such a title? Would we get to build and play the popular Pac-Man Battle Royale that every arcade seems to own these days? Would we get any of the weird PS2 and PS3 versions of the game? Could we finally get a Square One crossover and see MathMan?!? Probably not. But the possibilities are pretty cool considering what Bandai Namco could do with their own character and a nearly 40-year history behind it.
