Christmas Time is Here — Do You Have Your Playlist Ready?
Christmas music always puts me in a happy, jolly mood. Granted, I don't celebrate Christmas, but I still enjoy it a great deal. Even if you're not celebrating the holiday, I hope you find this short curated list of nerdy Christmas music enjoyable. Cheers!
Vince Guaraldi Trio — 'Christmas Time Is Here'. From A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965). This is by far my favorite Christmas song, and it is simply timeless. Children from St. Paul's Episcopal Church in San Rafael, California provided the vocals.
Meco Monardo — 'R2-D2 We Wish You A Merry Christmas' from Christmas in the Stars. This whole album is absolute (comedy) gold, but this song in particular needs to be mentioned. Why, you ask? A certain Jon Bon Jovi sings the vocals. In fact, it was his first recorded song. Oh, we're half way there, indeed.
Dr. Seuss — 'You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch'. Arguably one of the most well-known children's stories in the world (written by none other than Dr. Seuss himself), the song comes from the 1966 animated movie How The Grinch Stole Christmas (based on the book). Sung by Thurl Ravenscroft, this song always puts me in a good mood.

Danny Elfman — 'What's This?' from The Nightmare Before Christmas. This song is remarkably catchy and fun. The movie itself it a wonderful romp, but the soundtrack is the real winner.
