Inhumans TV Show Won't Even Have Vin Diesel, James Gunn Reports

As part of an ongoing series of news articles based on a single Facebook thread from Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, Bleeding Cool has the unfortunate duty* to report Gunn has announced that Pacifier star Vin Diesel will probably not play Black Bolt, as he has long been rumored to do. Asked by a fan during a Q&A session while he was stuck in traffic** whether Diesel would play the character in the recently announced Inhumans show, Gunn replied: "The Inhumans is going to be a TV show. Unless Vin wants to take a huge pay cut and sign up to do a TV show it seems unlikely."

It seems like yet another blow to Bleeding Cool's best friend, Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter, who has been wanting to make an Inhumans movie as part of an oft-reported vendetta against Fox for purchasing the film rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four in a bargain Marvel legitimately agreed to. Marvel Studios, headed by the dastardly Kevin Feige, recently broke out from under Perlmutter's control and the oversight of Perlmutter's Marvel Creative Committee. Since then, Feige has been literally waging war on Perlmutter and his allies, such as Marvel television head Jeph "Jeff" Loeb, and cancelling the planned Inhumans feature film, forcing Marvel TV to make it a TV show, is the latest of his attacks. It's possible Feige is also behind Diesel's unlikeliness to appear in the show.

It's unclear why Kevin Feige is so mean to Ike Perlmtter. Perhaps he is jealous of Ike's best friendship with Bleeding Cool. Whatever the case, we plan to incessantly report on this feud as long as people continue to click on it.
