Pixar Debuts A Great New Trailer For New FIlm Soul
Pixar's latest film Soul got a new sneak peek posted over the weekend, and for those that maybe have been on the fence about it can hop off now, it looks fantastic. Following a man named Joe Gardner (Jamie Foxx), the film will explore what makes up a person, from their interests to their mannerisms and personality. Pete Docter directed this one, who also did Inside Out for the studio, and is a master at tugging at people's heartstrings. So, bring tissues to Soul for sure. The voice cast also includes Tina Fey, Daveed Diggs, Angela Bassett, Phylicia Rashad, Questlove, and of course, John Ratzenberger. Check out the sneak peek at Soul below.
Soul Already Looks Incredible
"What is it that makes you…YOU? This November, Pixar Animation Studios' all-new feature film "Soul" introduces Joe Gardner (voice of Jamie Foxx) – a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks, and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22 (voice of Tina Fey), who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what's great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life's most important questions. Directed by Academy Award® winner Pete Docter ("Inside Out," "Up"), co-directed by Kemp Powers ("One Night in Miami") and produced by Academy Award nominee Dana Murray, p.g.a. (Pixar short "Lou") Disney and Pixar's "Soul" opens in U.S. theaters on November 20th, 2020."
What a fabulous little trailer/sneak peek of this is. A lot of people I have talked to forget this film was even a thing, so as a reminder/first glance for some, you can't get much better than that. Doctor's films are so high concept and emotional; I do not doubt that Soul will take its rightful place as one of Pixar's best when it opens November 20th.
