Player Piano Releases The Ultimate Star Wars Medley
Madeline Ricchiuto writes for Bleeding Cool…
Player Piano, the YouTube channel responsible for those viral "musical adventure" videos for franchises like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who and Super Mario which have generated over 7 million views on Youtube, recently released an epic 10-minute long video in honor of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Arranged and performed by the film composer and concert pianist Sonya Belousova (Player Piano), the 10 minute video features not one but four arrangements from John William's incredible original soundtracks including The Main Title, Duel of The Fates, The Imperial March, and Princess Leia's Theme. Also featured in the video are the Millennium Falcon, Vader Black, and R2D2 pianos. "The Ultimate Star Wars Medley" also doubles as the premiere of the Millennium Falcon custom piano.
Belusova's arrangement is available as sheet music from Music Notes here.
Sonya Belousova has composed for Two Bit Waltz, Christmas Trade, How Sarah Got Her Wings, as well as The Boat Builder. She has performed in the largest concert venues of both her native Russia as well as the US, including Carnegie Hall and The Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory. As Player Piano she has performed for fans at San Diego Comic-Con and performed as a soloist on her original arrangements for a 70-piece live orchestra and choir at a sold out crowd at Anime Expo.
