A TV Version Of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Is In The Works
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is really one of the best sci-fi romance movies ever made by my estimation. There is a reason it is still talked about today, and I assume that will continue for quite some time.
It seems we might hear from the title again before too long too. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company behind True Detective and Mr. Robot, Anonymous Content, will work with Universal to get a TV show based on the film off the ground. Sadly, screenwriter on the film, Charlie Kaufman isn't expected to be involved.
It's hard to envision what a TV Show based on the film looks like, as it would probably be really hard to tell just one love story over the course of multiple seasons. However, there might be legs in the technology of removing memories. We will have to see where this one goes.
