Writer Jay Basu Added to 'Battlestar Galactica' Film
Sounds like someone is spinning up their FTLs on that much maligned Battlestar Galactica feature film, as a new writer has been added to the project.
The Girl In The Spider's Web scribe Jay Basu has reportedly been tapped to write a new version of the script for the film, taking over the position from Westworld co-creator Lisa Joy. Sounds like Francis Lawrence (Hunger Games) is still on board as director.
Last we heard back in February, things were still moving right along at Universal with Lawrence's direction and Joy's script, but obviously that's changed now, at least on the writing front.
This announcement comes on the heels of the 15th anniversary of Ronald D. Moore's reimagined Battlestar Galactica series for NBC/SYFY, which of course has brought the incredible series back into the limelight.
We'll let you know when we hear anything else about the project.
