Xbox Head Says E3 Presentation Will Be More About 1st Parties This Year
Xbox have never quite had the first party support of PlayStation. Microsoft certainly have big name developers under their umbrella such as Rare and 343, but they often have to rely on third party support to sell consoles. That's why you see them paying other developers for exclusivity, such as the Rise of the Tomb Raider deal that will see the game only on Xbox this holiday season.
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer says that this year's E3 press conference will be much different. Tweeting a fan on Twitter, he revealed:
@Masih3KA We should have new exclusive IP at E3. I'm trying to make this E3 more about 1st party than past E3s.

@bmuny101 @aceitman @Masih3KA And to be clear we will have 3rd party deals, it's just, imo, important to focus on and support our 1st party.

As to who those 1st parties could be? Halo 5 is obviously going to have a very big presence while Rare are said to be working on a new game. Beyond that? I couldn't say for sure. I'll be there covering it for you guys though.
