American Horror Stories Releases Wonderfully Odd "Rubber" Teaser

Okay, this might be a pretty bold claim to make about a franchise like American Horror Story, one that has a reputation for some pretty jaw-droppingly impressive teasers and trailers. But the recent teaser for FX on Hulu's spinoff American Horror Stories might be the most oddly addictive one yet. So it takes place on the set of one of the earlier teasers, but not quite because Rubber Man and Rubber Woman are clearly in character. From there, it's like an awkward "wearing the same outfit at the club" vibe between the two as Rubber Woman explains the difference between the two shows. So does this mean we're going to have "Rubber Folks"? Is Rubber Woman a replacement? Is it wrong that they seem kind of cute together? Do we have serious issues? Well, at least a few of those questions will begin being answered this week.

Matt Bomer as Michael, Gavin Creel as Troy, Sierra McCormick as Scarlett, Belissa Escobedo as Shanti, Paris Jackson as Maya, Kaia Gerber as Ruby, Aaron Tveit as Adam, Merrin Dungey as Dr. Andi Grant, Ashley Martin Carter as Rowena, Selena Sloan as Erin, and Valerie Loo as Nicole is the line-up in play for the two-part season-opener- but it's the following "When Rubber Man Meets Rubber Woman" moment that's all caught up in our fascinations right now:

Previously, the first wave of casting announcements was made- and it was damn impressive. Along with the names above, we also learned the anthology series will be welcoming John Carol Lynch as Larry Bitterman, Naomi Grossman as Rabid Ruth, Billie Lourd as Liv Whitley, Dyllon Burnside as James, Nico Greetham as Zinn, Charles Melton as Wyatt, Kevin McHale as Barry, Rhenzy Feliz as Chad, Madison Bailey as Kelley, Kyle Red Silverstein as Quinn, Amy Grabow as Tipper Gore, Virginia Gardner as Bernadette, and Danny Trejo as Santa Claus (and that's just to start). For a look back at the official start to your "American Horror Summer," here's the trailer for FX on Hulu's American Horror Stories– haunting the streaming service's screens with a two-episode premiere on July 15:
